<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you're like me, you may never have heard of Kiko cosmetics, a makeup and skincare company from Milan that sell throughout Europe. I discovered them on my trip to Berlin last month and picked up a few treats which I have been testing out, including this face mask. I have since found out that they sell online too, and have a couple of stores in London. They have free shipping and run regular promotions. The shop itself felt very high end, a bit like a MAC store, but the products are very reasonable, this mask retails for £5.90 on their <a href="http://www.kikocosmetics.co.uk/" target="_blank">UK site</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My skin is oily/blemished so I chose this mask which is designed to purify the skin, but you can get various masks for different skin types, all at the same price. It's an exfoliating mask, which seems to be clay based.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is the blurb on the back, I love the idea of micro-sponges, though I have no idea what that really means!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used this in the bath after cleansing my skin normally with a facial cleanser, and applied as per the instructions. This is what the product looks like out of the packaging:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hopefully you can see all the nice grainy scrubby bits! Does it work? To be honest, I did notice less dry skin and some unclogged pores but it did give me a couple of spots in the days after using it. You could argue that this means it has done its job by purifying the skin. What I would say is, for the price it's a great mask, I would use this instead of one of the Body Shop or Lush masks quite happily. But if you're going on a big night out or have a date coming up, use this at least a few days in advance incase you end up with a massive unsightly blemish!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall 6/10, and I would try the other masks in the range also.</div>

Hi guys, back with a hair product today for you all. I don't normally review hair products, as my hair is a bit of a nightmare I have to use loads of products to keep it in shape. However, now and then I try something which I love and then go tell everyone about, and this is one of those!<br />
<br />
This product is from Color Wow (link <a href="http://www.colorwowhair.com/" target="_blank">here</a>), who provide high end products for colored hair including an award winning root touch up kit. Now I cannot remember where I heard of this product but it must have been fate! If I straighten my hair it looks nice for about two hours then the dreaded halo of frizz and flyaways set in. This product is a glosser which sets on the hair, working almost as a hairspray and a shine spray in one. It is choc full of glitter and is gorgeous to look at in the packaging.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoo0Q5lYHUsp9XTRkgl705sEqTuxzlWK7IGNPYe0RFUrAMyTiOWkIKTtjE1X14tGQ-LRcCBgJFJnB7_Kef5iAdX8ec0LniJRMBqAhVzp-ZyAtNJpoSEKp3reAgNSXerwFMniOPM46WGqc/s1600/shallc.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoo0Q5lYHUsp9XTRkgl705sEqTuxzlWK7IGNPYe0RFUrAMyTiOWkIKTtjE1X14tGQ-LRcCBgJFJnB7_Kef5iAdX8ec0LniJRMBqAhVzp-ZyAtNJpoSEKp3reAgNSXerwFMniOPM46WGqc/s1600/shallc.JPG" height="304" width="320" /></a></div>
It's a lovely shimmery gel, not too thick and easy to apply to the hair. I do it once my hair is finished, smooth a little across my hands and smooth it over my fringe and the top of my hair, it instantly makes your hair look shinier and amplifies any tints or colour you have had done. I love it as it looks natural and light, not weighing your hair down or making it look greasy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPxHIMTa7BnJv_qgAITvuq63vXFkIAbV2Sb6gl1jVj0dXeLwF9q-vWypHpC2WqjyQNUyoao_YxUjZdKmPual8M7mc3IpBNsRlvwW2FZItS4wPq8XKOb49uF-zUW8zAjUsvo4AukOdJpmM/s1600/shellac+back.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPxHIMTa7BnJv_qgAITvuq63vXFkIAbV2Sb6gl1jVj0dXeLwF9q-vWypHpC2WqjyQNUyoao_YxUjZdKmPual8M7mc3IpBNsRlvwW2FZItS4wPq8XKOb49uF-zUW8zAjUsvo4AukOdJpmM/s1600/shellac+back.JPG" height="640" width="216" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That lets you see a bit of the blurb on the back and I can tell you it really does all that it says. If you want perfectly shiny hair, and your hair won't play ball, this is the product for you. I can also say that this works well on long hair, like mine!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall a 9.5 out of 10, yes really! get your paws on this asap.</div>

The weather has turned horrid in the past couple of days and my skin has been playing up, so I've been trying everything I can to sort it out. Winter is the worst for dry skin, but even for oily skin like mine I get dry patches on my nose and around any pesky blemishes I might have.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hot Cloth Cleansers are something I love, they make cleansing feel more indulgent and like you're really cleaning your face thoroughly. I treated myself to Soap and Glory's version with some of my birthday money, and have been using it for about a week now in order to give it a good go.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYjfbDL8c4CCW2kBGLuks7QLhcPf6PHtACTec_eTb0E1vNC0oXqxUA0izK80vADzPFEBSSTzlbRyvHxvRUAI33YxEMs-Bg-7vgUqfq8dPjvXfVSGncSsmPkFe4TQigt3e-ksohbCGP9E/s1600/box.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYjfbDL8c4CCW2kBGLuks7QLhcPf6PHtACTec_eTb0E1vNC0oXqxUA0izK80vADzPFEBSSTzlbRyvHxvRUAI33YxEMs-Bg-7vgUqfq8dPjvXfVSGncSsmPkFe4TQigt3e-ksohbCGP9E/s1600/box.JPG" height="400" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My verdict? I love this. It claims to have a 3 in 1 formula that purifies deep into the skin with various natural oils and vitamins. I'm no scientist, but it certainly smells divine and does what it claims. The cream itself is quite thick and smooth, it's not too oily but does start to melt when you rub it into your skin. The box says to use a grape size amount but I use a bit more than that, I think you wouldn't get as good results if you used less. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq1JUjTzxDfWb1Efk7ISEJZtOWCPHRwKwEzEIzcFb_2MsqvwOsMPnvBSwM_uiGmSitJXt6Chg-DGCXKd6M2G10nISXN9wNnfj6Qs8dFCBZ9H9x9Ob3YYy_PJSbbxKGpy-g78tdcMLOaU0/s1600/tube.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq1JUjTzxDfWb1Efk7ISEJZtOWCPHRwKwEzEIzcFb_2MsqvwOsMPnvBSwM_uiGmSitJXt6Chg-DGCXKd6M2G10nISXN9wNnfj6Qs8dFCBZ9H9x9Ob3YYy_PJSbbxKGpy-g78tdcMLOaU0/s1600/tube.JPG" height="400" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As with all hot cloth cleansers you just massage it into the skin, then wet the cloth with hot water and use it to gently remove the cleanser whilst exfoliating the skin. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean and super soft.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVTixD2XAT33B2niy9EZKHG3TEqmlq9-F0eQ09yWsW1ClOAa1AokHjs-VNPk8t54LJGC6YI7IO7mVUjOoUSk9K32wtq2oYCkySzc5SGY43ZhubccXs-k9Mni72JykfyooAgTMRfSwwNh0/s1600/cream.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVTixD2XAT33B2niy9EZKHG3TEqmlq9-F0eQ09yWsW1ClOAa1AokHjs-VNPk8t54LJGC6YI7IO7mVUjOoUSk9K32wtq2oYCkySzc5SGY43ZhubccXs-k9Mni72JykfyooAgTMRfSwwNh0/s1600/cream.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you are looking for an indulgent treat which is not too expensive but really sorts your skin out, I would recommend this. At the minute it is 1/3 off at Boots, so only £6.66 instead of £10. Compared to the prices of other similar products, this is a great bargain. My skin feels super soft, not greasy and my dry patches have vanished.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall: 9/10 I just wish the actual tube was prettier to look at as it could be a medicine of some sort!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Back with a bang!Hello! After a not-so-brief hiatus I am back to blogging! I pretty much vanished off the face of the earth through my fourth year of my degree, but it's all done and dusted now and I could not be happier!<br />
<br />
Anyway, back to beauty. For my first review this YEAR (gosh it's been a while), I have chosen Benefit's new multi-tasking product, Fine-one-one. Incase you've missed the press, this product has been four years in development! It has a highlighter, a blusher and a contour all in one handy cream stick format. The packaging is, as always, pretty slick from Benefit. Take a look-see.<br />
<br />

<br />
It's a classy metallic rose-colour, not too big, nice and portable, and feels quite sturdy, a must for me as I drop things all the time! All in all another pretty product from Benefit. So, on to the product itself.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
As you can hopefully see there are three products in one, alongside each other. This is designed to be fool-proof so you just swipe across your cheek and blend lightly. Swatch please!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsmGt0NIZtZibNP0EzOTXwbEoCCh0Ze5G_VKBNQ8kbGh45nk4gOmt-T5UivVzMlv8GYVAlXPPRQKxyqo7Z8A0V6EtKSF1BJaExqiRSLOpb78oOYSHQ5CbwfyXDqdp8x0QRi-7R2I2R9Ds/s1600/fineone.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsmGt0NIZtZibNP0EzOTXwbEoCCh0Ze5G_VKBNQ8kbGh45nk4gOmt-T5UivVzMlv8GYVAlXPPRQKxyqo7Z8A0V6EtKSF1BJaExqiRSLOpb78oOYSHQ5CbwfyXDqdp8x0QRi-7R2I2R9Ds/s320/fineone.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The highligher aspect of this is not that obvious unless you go over it a couple of times, but it is similar in colour to High Beam from Benefit. The blush is a corally pink matte shade and the contour is orangy peach in colour. This was from swiping it twice lightly. You do need to blend a fair amount to get rid of the obvious lines.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To be honest, it took me as much time using this as it normally does using blusher and highlighter individually and blending so I wouldn't use it as an "express" product but it would be really handy for travelling. Also, this will not suit all skin tones. For the price of £23.50, you do get three products, and this can be used on lips too, though I wouldn't personally choose to do so.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall: it looks pretty and does what is says on the tin. Useful for travelling but perhaps more of a gimmicky product than a makeup bag staple. 6/10</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did however LOVE the Benefit van:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I was watching telly last night and an advert came on for the new Maybelline Range "FIT Me", a new oil-free range that is meant to take the hassle out of colour matching and provide all the complementary products for your foundation. Today I was in Tesco and the range was on 3 for 2 so I thought I would give it a shot! Here are the three products I chose:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlSxYYgVoG_NtblWtrQVi5HPJY6mBO0436tolJisCvPLw7w_AQSSIZJ3X9ByA5OYimhr6kLYNdnRXBv0FvUPBOnCxOqLKDffpyEWzrpYLTK-ZlsgPlcxNPPM1x6xH7l0X3oRSpx00yqIs/s1600/West+Lothian-20121030-00290.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlSxYYgVoG_NtblWtrQVi5HPJY6mBO0436tolJisCvPLw7w_AQSSIZJ3X9ByA5OYimhr6kLYNdnRXBv0FvUPBOnCxOqLKDffpyEWzrpYLTK-ZlsgPlcxNPPM1x6xH7l0X3oRSpx00yqIs/s400/West+Lothian-20121030-00290.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
For my three products, I chose the liquid foundation, the pressed powder and the concealer. I was partly intrigued to see how a full 3 part system would work together and also it was a great deal! Of the shades in store, they did not have the very lightest two shades, which I might have originally considered. Thankfully I didn't as the 125 is perfect on my skin once blended in. This shade is the second one in the pink based tones, so probably I would have looked a bit ghost-like with the first one on! What I'm a bit bemused by is that the above three shades are meant to be perfectly matched with each other, but you can clearly see that the foundation is darker than the other two products. Here are the foundation and concealer next to each other on my skin:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwPaWCya8UtC7QHDFmIoRBMMsglHQS117ky-T9w3ITaGW2kHT_wNxuFx8PQKefOzu3qKqWqsJJYjvUqNA21taz5Xuqf792nbYZZIzJSJ202yDzFa6QiLu4ZU4BNFBjMV4cn6MgvFjpVEE/s1600/West+Lothian-20121030-00291.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwPaWCya8UtC7QHDFmIoRBMMsglHQS117ky-T9w3ITaGW2kHT_wNxuFx8PQKefOzu3qKqWqsJJYjvUqNA21taz5Xuqf792nbYZZIzJSJ202yDzFa6QiLu4ZU4BNFBjMV4cn6MgvFjpVEE/s320/West+Lothian-20121030-00291.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
foundation on the left, concealer on the right</div>
<div align="left" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To tell the truth, once the products are on together you can barely see any difference at all, but it somehow annoys me that "matching" products dont, well, match! Here is the powder:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip03bcE3d3aZplQkzaPYI8a4Kl-cgPH6d1ldQk0CwoCc-qwh1t5ULtMrg7fUadv8-iJr335U1QNHJf5bRxXkrvpMXl_RSJPSEdWAcsYijVB3gg92kKTKG3mu4g8yY7fakwNGVTHh5jcnE/s1600/DSC02213.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip03bcE3d3aZplQkzaPYI8a4Kl-cgPH6d1ldQk0CwoCc-qwh1t5ULtMrg7fUadv8-iJr335U1QNHJf5bRxXkrvpMXl_RSJPSEdWAcsYijVB3gg92kKTKG3mu4g8yY7fakwNGVTHh5jcnE/s320/DSC02213.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRqmRaJ0W5ND0nWhJ6SGi_Nm9_ByuPMp9mFkBUPPuS2Wxiaf8nnmHuRsKa-LFHOtk-WRVj38fKtPdeYAEKe8ulEiFXGQL2mCTAJI7Jj3Q5e8sMxz6Ac1AofHD3HPMOjSt-bZHODG6CnHA/s1600/DSC02214.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRqmRaJ0W5ND0nWhJ6SGi_Nm9_ByuPMp9mFkBUPPuS2Wxiaf8nnmHuRsKa-LFHOtk-WRVj38fKtPdeYAEKe8ulEiFXGQL2mCTAJI7Jj3Q5e8sMxz6Ac1AofHD3HPMOjSt-bZHODG6CnHA/s320/DSC02214.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUQUBZlpw9Js2IPJSY1aMQ_wQIljQrl9VcjlCJ3Gw5NzsBeaYjA-bf-Bpv3YgOpq0lbP3qjwm4XFwTL2YV5a7QcCwR6NSaV1TATIcv13I0ddXt7fyh1lgk6jNn4tP-boJDQQqsV5UMyY8/s1600/DSC02215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUQUBZlpw9Js2IPJSY1aMQ_wQIljQrl9VcjlCJ3Gw5NzsBeaYjA-bf-Bpv3YgOpq0lbP3qjwm4XFwTL2YV5a7QcCwR6NSaV1TATIcv13I0ddXt7fyh1lgk6jNn4tP-boJDQQqsV5UMyY8/s320/DSC02215.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The packaging for these items is hardly ground breaking but you can see they are trying to look a little more upmarket with the sleek black design. They look nicer than a lot of other affordable products, I was quite impressed with the overall look and feel of them. They're obviously copying Mac and Bobbi Brown a bit but I'm not bothered about that!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As for the performance of the products, the liquid feels light and is easy to manipulate but gives medium to high coverage (great for blemishes but can settle in fine lines a little). It lasts all day and when set with the powder offers a flawless, matte finish. The concealer has a slightly thicker consistency but blends well. It doesn't cling to dry bits and covers my dark circles without irritating my sensitive eyes (WIN).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall I am a fan of this system. I can put it on for work and I know I won't be more oily than usual, any blemishes are covered, and it lasts well all day. Re-application of the powder at lunchtime and I'm good to go! For the price these products are very good value, though a word of warning: the powder is quite messy for a pressed powder. The range also offers blushers, so I might check these out in future. Have any of you tried this range? What do you think?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Foundation: 8/10</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Concealer 8.5/10</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Powder 7/10</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

If you can, you're a stronger woman than me. With the changing seasons and the winter chill setting in, I've started thinking about looking after my poor lips, which like to get all yucky and dry in winter. In order to keep them soft and pretty, I've been stockpiling goodies! Two of my latest favourites are my new lippie from the MAC cremesheen and pearl collection, and a limited edition Vaseline. Vaseline you say? Yes but not just any Vaseline :)<br />
<br />
First up, Shanghai Spice from MAC.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaF1ll_X6VB2TBS8KaabIPD6G0OR7kVo9l7g7Ayvm3zxcqGYdt3OoTTM9P7yh07pdpLEXN1vM6eLubbE2vJYVO10SqYxSXKSYbQLa9mljDBF8Mknl5ebjG2hFuEVBI1wfzYL3c1cduROQ/s1600/DSC01997.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaF1ll_X6VB2TBS8KaabIPD6G0OR7kVo9l7g7Ayvm3zxcqGYdt3OoTTM9P7yh07pdpLEXN1vM6eLubbE2vJYVO10SqYxSXKSYbQLa9mljDBF8Mknl5ebjG2hFuEVBI1wfzYL3c1cduROQ/s640/DSC01997.JPG" width="480" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've blown this up so you can see how pretty the sheen is on this. The pearl in the lipstick is very delicate, not as obvious as I would have expected, but feminine and lovely. The shade itself is a delicate rose nude shade, it's a very grown up shade for me! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY5FBWEqWfcwMXQNYWFJ2xXLZ4SQ_-8IGCskPRhedGlgX353lKVtL0YGzYt3eE5wIGH2632k-MYKUg0yQhyphenhyphenI2TADY6drxeZfSqWZ48-InpHkkP299F7oAO0wA1Gutsk8nzUCFIvcK3VNg/s1600/DSC02000.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY5FBWEqWfcwMXQNYWFJ2xXLZ4SQ_-8IGCskPRhedGlgX353lKVtL0YGzYt3eE5wIGH2632k-MYKUg0yQhyphenhyphenI2TADY6drxeZfSqWZ48-InpHkkP299F7oAO0wA1Gutsk8nzUCFIvcK3VNg/s320/DSC02000.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This lipstick feels gorgeous on, very classy and Kate Middleton. I'm thinking nude heels and a navy dress (preferably with champers in hand). Talking of champers...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiQPvB8Qk7ljsd0oPAS-tWngMpWZ0cRP5tDKHlIU3djy7jjGdNPQONC1Rts5omEeyTqtwMjJ9ut28kEm4b98LgWsQ0N2Xq_zXO7PzLyMfc8GYYV0pjj8_Jk60rfwSkrt1BSn_v8hyphenhyphendwog/s1600/DSC02018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiQPvB8Qk7ljsd0oPAS-tWngMpWZ0cRP5tDKHlIU3djy7jjGdNPQONC1Rts5omEeyTqtwMjJ9ut28kEm4b98LgWsQ0N2Xq_zXO7PzLyMfc8GYYV0pjj8_Jk60rfwSkrt1BSn_v8hyphenhyphendwog/s320/DSC02018.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Look at that! Sorry I just had to put it in a glass, for the record I did polish it beforehand but it seems to have my grubby pawprints all over it lol. I saw this in the supermarket the other day and let out a little squeal of delight!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBOs4nOjNR-j1_Y351Uh0j6B0cQrlrsVCBHrm2gJC5A9LDAnoKSDDP_nbiPj43ibI2LR8rtx3CyKXcPXDY_OL50X4mjiHBFNd9bkChNKHAG3BTnyD6-TEm6uQ9DeYp_fUBfYUv-8uN4mI/s1600/DSC02022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBOs4nOjNR-j1_Y351Uh0j6B0cQrlrsVCBHrm2gJC5A9LDAnoKSDDP_nbiPj43ibI2LR8rtx3CyKXcPXDY_OL50X4mjiHBFNd9bkChNKHAG3BTnyD6-TEm6uQ9DeYp_fUBfYUv-8uN4mI/s320/DSC02022.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At the end of the day, it's just another Vaseline but it's so much more luxurious to carry about with you than plain old Vaseline. On reading the back, it actually does have alcohol and wine extract in it, and you can smell it in the balm.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBhzObMOmolGlCWnEfBrsHBwAU8thK5Su5W3jUFWn1y-kATs1t6T_27TjrwJsh0Gh7JMb4CLbSApjE2uFO9RmAFN2Md4iAp0KK2wba3uEA9MTDWVr1tf1V-8ygVq3Ni70lZDelXETEJUQ/s1600/DSC02023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBhzObMOmolGlCWnEfBrsHBwAU8thK5Su5W3jUFWn1y-kATs1t6T_27TjrwJsh0Gh7JMb4CLbSApjE2uFO9RmAFN2Md4iAp0KK2wba3uEA9MTDWVr1tf1V-8ygVq3Ni70lZDelXETEJUQ/s320/DSC02023.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The scent is rose based I'd say, but with a tingly sweet scent that definitely smells like champagne, it's lovely and lasts when you have it on. The tin claims that it tints your lips slightly, as you can see above the product is very light in colour, it makes no difference whatsoever lookswise once on. It does however feel lovely, smell delicious and the tin is super girly and decadent. On an aside, this looks great over Benefit's Cha Cha tint on your lips!<br />
<br />
Well there you go, lovelies. Pearls and champagne for the weekend. It's Friday so pouts at the ready, if you want to give your lips a VIP upgrade, I'd recommend these products.<br />
<br />
8/10 for the MAC as it could be more pigmented and 10/10 for the Vaseline as a favourite staple<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiQPvB8Qk7ljsd0oPAS-tWngMpWZ0cRP5tDKHlIU3djy7jjGdNPQONC1Rts5omEeyTqtwMjJ9ut28kEm4b98LgWsQ0N2Xq_zXO7PzLyMfc8GYYV0pjj8_Jk60rfwSkrt1BSn_v8hyphenhyphendwog/s1600/DSC02018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a>
<br />Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13894878557556412847noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351684152302728009.post-54474373004560559462012-10-08T12:35:00.000+01:002012-10-08T12:38:19.843+01:00Illamasqua Lipsticks- let's get boldHey guys, I've been horribly busy at uni, fourth year now so lots on my plate! But I'm back with some more lovely product reviews for you. What better to start off with than lipstick, everyone loves a good lippie!<br />
<br />
I had wanted an Illamasqua lipstick for ages, I'm still in love with their packaging and entire ethos, and their bold colours really appeal to me. So I went for two of their brightest colours, Fetish and Encounter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAhyyChp-dHW7XeUqu0ch3BWXargQfk3PwMvaV9qBZphy7S2YdS1hA5MNXlibQyIljYg8XQTNcKYohsg_JWBP9xMModVPlwjoJuGnkvN-I1qS3aa6JB-m2yzdulJ9PMUvg8Ldk_BbBSQA/s1600/DSC01782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAhyyChp-dHW7XeUqu0ch3BWXargQfk3PwMvaV9qBZphy7S2YdS1hA5MNXlibQyIljYg8XQTNcKYohsg_JWBP9xMModVPlwjoJuGnkvN-I1qS3aa6JB-m2yzdulJ9PMUvg8Ldk_BbBSQA/s400/DSC01782.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Encounter (R) and Fetish (L)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'll firstly start with Fetish as I was a little disappointed with the colour payoff with this shade as it's so bright in the bullet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1R4TrRMOGRwvYNqhhS4_gZjCiD4ikQuXSKvktA-rj-7z2WWmaPJAPrQ7kmtc1EWckKCQYkwc7Jw-VRH-pQbshIZ68V0XdFR83LsjGci5QACE4hiZOmPM_DgzebhPuIhgEPUM4LFlCI3I/s1600/DSC01784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1R4TrRMOGRwvYNqhhS4_gZjCiD4ikQuXSKvktA-rj-7z2WWmaPJAPrQ7kmtc1EWckKCQYkwc7Jw-VRH-pQbshIZ68V0XdFR83LsjGci5QACE4hiZOmPM_DgzebhPuIhgEPUM4LFlCI3I/s320/DSC01784.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
It's a gorgeous grape shade, vampy and dark, I had no idea where I would actually wear this but just wanted it regardless.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbhVjTYK0rHZOpoYbHTND8jxYxEp-jHTQhvGdUDSCmh3gra_E7SJhcQB2O71_2IuFQQhxA-PLmeS_OK-zUl431tC9EMpRl5RhKLqOOlHemFM1cWESKSN9cuFrfNvCmmgCUReOI7uS8NBE/s1600/DSC01785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbhVjTYK0rHZOpoYbHTND8jxYxEp-jHTQhvGdUDSCmh3gra_E7SJhcQB2O71_2IuFQQhxA-PLmeS_OK-zUl431tC9EMpRl5RhKLqOOlHemFM1cWESKSN9cuFrfNvCmmgCUReOI7uS8NBE/s320/DSC01785.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
As you can see from the swatched, the colour comes off a little cooler on the skin, there is a warmth to the purple in the bullet, almost a magenta tone which is totally lost on the skin, it falls a little flat and one-dimensional, which is really gutting. It looks a little Morticia Addams to me sadly.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
I am particularly pale, but even so I cannot see this shade being particularly flattering on many skin tones. I'll play about with is and different looks so we'll see, but I'm skeptical!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
On the other hand, Encounter is the most amazing 50's red. It's sexy, luscious and my new favourite red lipstick.</div>

I am besotted with this shade, it makes me feel like a film star! The purple shade just shows every line on your lips and doesn't give the colour you want, but this one plumps and fills out your lips. My favourite thing about this is a lot of red lipsticks fade badly or stain your lips, but this one doesn't. It wears evenly and doesn't budge.<br />
<br />
If you're looking for a new red lipstick for winter, I urge you to give Illamasqua a try, their website is <a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/" target="_blank">here</a>, check it out! If you have any questions about their products just let me know :)<br />

As the nights draw in and the rain beats down, winter is definately on it's way here in Edinburgh. I saw my first robin red-breast of the year, so have fished out all my wooly jumpers and fleece lined boots ready for the onslaught of snow and rain that is winter in Scotland! During such chilly times, I love nothing more than warm porridge in the morning, and an even warmer bath at night. When I'm not relying on my old faithful Lush products, I'm always on the lookout for new soaks to try. When in Whole foods the other week I saw these Magnesium Flakes for the bath:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQN3nbRHRxwGAxX_EW6AWv2KFjexpY8F4t-y0eoeWYNp13ws4xLB80GoiVXWFWwiNiGpLcfnfMRNNZeP1243HFUcjty2YPhv8X1ZoukW-TiHDXtwbGoYj6HGzPoqUY_adj6Wkz0D2bi60/s1600/DSC01947.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQN3nbRHRxwGAxX_EW6AWv2KFjexpY8F4t-y0eoeWYNp13ws4xLB80GoiVXWFWwiNiGpLcfnfMRNNZeP1243HFUcjty2YPhv8X1ZoukW-TiHDXtwbGoYj6HGzPoqUY_adj6Wkz0D2bi60/s400/DSC01947.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
I know a bath is good for the mind, relaxes you and can ease tired muscles, but I was intrigued by the "remineralisation" claim. Can a bath really provide your body with missing minerals and cure all manner of ailments? This sounds a little middle ages to me. This is what they say:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkdlvyZDZWs6rHtCcfsxfiiwf89hyphenhyphenhCFUD1szxAoYoBB5tC1TZ1nCpO4TZJ4wO1Gs_7wcK1qbqmFY9xQWHJSNhTYkcyTXJPI8CNyKxywTgWuiYa4134fGkzE0UI46vdgFzwWirhRr02SM/s1600/DSC01948.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkdlvyZDZWs6rHtCcfsxfiiwf89hyphenhyphenhCFUD1szxAoYoBB5tC1TZ1nCpO4TZJ4wO1Gs_7wcK1qbqmFY9xQWHJSNhTYkcyTXJPI8CNyKxywTgWuiYa4134fGkzE0UI46vdgFzwWirhRr02SM/s400/DSC01948.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I may be the only one in this position, but I wasn't aware my magnesium levels were so dangerously low that they needed replenishing in any way, let alone through a bath! So, as I tend to do, I did a little research. If you type "magnesium" into Google, you will be met with a plethora of websites offering supplements and advice. It turns out magnesium is a vital mineral for our health, and our diet nowadays is containing less and less magnesium due to our foods being processed differently. There have been plenty of studies showing that magnesium supplements can relieve the symptoms of diseases such as depression, and lower the risk of coronary heart diseases and diabetes. Worth a try, no?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkOo4VeHcqFYVreHrn47NmSdO3vAu7Zl3wZWnr01K2zOWcTym1V0FsEPH0Eq0RlYj8xtlB341RNutG8mcgT1cZt1fZSV8WkSbEPcnJuwFiyDWEo5tp9IFYP6tkXZRN8RGkMk2L_Geyi5M/s1600/DSC01949.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkOo4VeHcqFYVreHrn47NmSdO3vAu7Zl3wZWnr01K2zOWcTym1V0FsEPH0Eq0RlYj8xtlB341RNutG8mcgT1cZt1fZSV8WkSbEPcnJuwFiyDWEo5tp9IFYP6tkXZRN8RGkMk2L_Geyi5M/s320/DSC01949.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This whole packet is meant to be for one bath, which seems a little excessive, so I have spread it out over a couple of baths so far and may buy some more to add in with other bath products. The flakes are brittle and don't seem to have any sort of scent, and dissolve immediately. It could be a placebo effect, but I do feel a little more nourished as a result. Then again, I always feel better after a bath so it's hard to tell if it's a result of the magnesium or not.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbszfyDuUwKe_5XvYheJ5p7K_A1dbijYfjQXrRhpipUCHaxZC4gP7ZP9D6AI813O0Nw8DWPQJIB7RGWJXSzG0Zl__4UyBWssyU7Sib92S5kYJfqEx_xdnxHXDUf_MdH_D35wtsGscb3ZM/s1600/DSC01952.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbszfyDuUwKe_5XvYheJ5p7K_A1dbijYfjQXrRhpipUCHaxZC4gP7ZP9D6AI813O0Nw8DWPQJIB7RGWJXSzG0Zl__4UyBWssyU7Sib92S5kYJfqEx_xdnxHXDUf_MdH_D35wtsGscb3ZM/s320/DSC01952.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
There certainly seems to be some scientific evidence to support the beneficial effects of these supplements, and you apparently cannot overdose on magnesium. However the cynic in me will always ask is this just scare-mongering or do we really need all these so called "necessary" nutrients? I'm not sure but it makes me feel a bit safer, and it certainly can't hurt.<br /><br />
For a bag this size it was £2.75 and you can get these on Amazon and Ebay as well as through various supplement and health storesEmmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13894878557556412847noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351684152302728009.post-21333838023560523932012-09-10T22:26:00.000+01:002012-09-10T22:27:41.677+01:00Decleor Aroma Night Purifying BalmBy now, you would be forgiven for thinking that I'm a sucker for anything with essential oils in, and to an extent you're right! When I was a little girl my grandmother was an aromatherapist, and she worked from a room in her home, which also doubled up as my room when I went to stay. If I was ever tired, sore or stressed, she would give me a massage in the room (I had very tickly legs so tended to giggle alot), then I'd go to sleep on an old fold-down bed with springs that creaked. Despite the noisy bed and the anatomical pictures on the wall, I always got the best nights sleep in that room, soothed by the scents of lavender and ylang ylang.<br />
<br />
Perhaps it isn't so surprising that these are the scents I'm drawn to and that make me happy, and why brands like Decleor, ESPA, Lush, Tropic Skincare are so good because their products ACTUALLY SMELL LIKE WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF! Not synthetic crappy perfumes thrown together to create a cheap replica of the real deal. You can't beat a good strong essential oil. Rant over, sorry got a bit excited there!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYIAt3g0jqIoLI4yqipobnqK_icV0NhXSS1XMOXrhGC4GLstukwWc5YFt-f5CY6JO4qUbBVRXsi8iPxdl65SjQG-8xYfqLLxIRbRNtzaBLXvN6YHZ051-y3KYw5PyW7FggQA1Zy4KmhmI/s1600/DSC01928.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYIAt3g0jqIoLI4yqipobnqK_icV0NhXSS1XMOXrhGC4GLstukwWc5YFt-f5CY6JO4qUbBVRXsi8iPxdl65SjQG-8xYfqLLxIRbRNtzaBLXvN6YHZ051-y3KYw5PyW7FggQA1Zy4KmhmI/s320/DSC01928.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I love Decleor's products, but don't tend to review them as they are fairly expensive and most people already suppose they are effective. I have been talking to various people recently, however who have never even tried anything by the brand because it is fairly high end and they don't want to chance it not working, so I've decided to do a couple of reviews of my favourite products starting with this: one of their Aroma Night Balms.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ0ld8mjwtOUfBxtV0dTEtp633i64lDO8zt2KOzV1AGUUF2FcnXpDvnfnHPJHbFLqMFlH-8X6CeuY-EIc8CX1-8HpnoLcdny3w9wQUGDEmnWI3f1Cl8w51fIs4KElvQYW8auOStmJoLis/s1600/DSC01939.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ0ld8mjwtOUfBxtV0dTEtp633i64lDO8zt2KOzV1AGUUF2FcnXpDvnfnHPJHbFLqMFlH-8X6CeuY-EIc8CX1-8HpnoLcdny3w9wQUGDEmnWI3f1Cl8w51fIs4KElvQYW8auOStmJoLis/s320/DSC01939.JPG" width="320" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Basically you use this instead of a night cream, just before you go to bed you scoop out a tiny amount, warm it in the palms of your hands then smooth it onto your skin, working in circular movements. It helps to regenerate the skin overnight, moisturise and even out skin tone. Depending on which balm you buy, it will also combat specific skin concerns, this one helps regulate sebum for oily skin but there are also versions for mature skin, dry skin and other issues. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5BTH5_4dwvfxoJ5yQ0tJeG3_YLkhI5ldWhHG5THpXH2xL-vSBZeeeuCgMS27Y2ig7TlGhWRjpmbmvitZsQUwbJu6BJg7IRZwMP1pT0QGMieZR3RHCw9QBtEL4dKInxzU8FodHlYRBDlc/s1600/DSC01943.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5BTH5_4dwvfxoJ5yQ0tJeG3_YLkhI5ldWhHG5THpXH2xL-vSBZeeeuCgMS27Y2ig7TlGhWRjpmbmvitZsQUwbJu6BJg7IRZwMP1pT0QGMieZR3RHCw9QBtEL4dKInxzU8FodHlYRBDlc/s320/DSC01943.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The great thing about this balm is it is dry touch, so you don't feel as though you're slathering oil all over your face. It smells divine, and it really does make a visible difference to your skin when you wake up the next morning. I wouldn't say it completely solves my oiliness, but my skin feels very smooth, plumped and nourished. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who doesn't like thick creams before bed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5lts3b5FH-kFpmd1MFWbkt5vwmncPwyvL6UqEOi_DEPI-1C6uZBu2HMPryCDAU_4Ae9zQBTC8LzSxzqDTVjqHcyC0Y0xZYqkEwtn1DAmyngl_00nirVkqvBh2CftV6ieXVTzl7gO9m6w/s1600/DSC01945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5lts3b5FH-kFpmd1MFWbkt5vwmncPwyvL6UqEOi_DEPI-1C6uZBu2HMPryCDAU_4Ae9zQBTC8LzSxzqDTVjqHcyC0Y0xZYqkEwtn1DAmyngl_00nirVkqvBh2CftV6ieXVTzl7gO9m6w/s320/DSC01945.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
If you're unsure which of the products to go for, their bestselling is the Iris range, you can get the balm for night time and a serum which you apply in the morning. Neither are cheap, but they last for such a long time they work out fairly well over the long run. If you don't want to shell out without trying these first, your local Decleor counter will usually give you generously-sized samples to try (which is how I ended up getting obsessed with this product). Most John Lewis stores have a counter, so pop along and sweet-talk the staff for some freebies!<br />
<br />
10/10 :)<br />

I'm nearly back at uni for my fourth year so have been working loads and blogging when I can, sorry for being a rubbish blogger! Anyway I have a review today of a new HG of mine, a beautiful Body Polish from Tropic Skincare. I was contacted on Twitter to ask if I wanted a free facial from a Tropic Skincare representative near to me. Unsurprisingly I said yes! I had heard of the brand before but didn't know too much about it. Their range is derived only from plants and has a very natural ethos. Check out their website <a href="http://www.tropicskincare.com/" target="_blank">here</a>. Their products are vegan also, which is great.<br />
<br />
At the moment the range is on the small side but each product has been carefully tested and I'd rather it was that way than having a large range which was ineffective. Various facial products were used on me during my facial and I have to say they all smelled amazing and my skin was left feeling very soft. But the thing that really struck me when I tried it was their Body Polish, and I just had to buy some before I left!<br />

You can buy this product in two sizes, 100ml and 200ml. I have to say up front that for a body polish/scrub, there are cheaper ones out there, but I don't think you will find any that are nearly as good as this one. The 100ml is £14.95 and the 200ml is £19.95 so I went for the larger tub. Two months on and I'm still working my way through it!<br />

These images were taken on a cloudy day and don't do the packaging justice so here is one from the Tropic Skincare site (I did NOT take this picture haha)<br />

<br />
<br />
Ah much better! Anyway. When you open up the pot, all the sea salt has sunk to the bottom, with all the natural oils sitting on the top. I was given a spatula with this to mix it all up before using it. Once mixed, it becomes a moist yellow scrub with a fairly thick consistency. The oils are great as it means the scrub holds together well, and because they are plant oils they don't feel too, well, oily!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Pre-mixing</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5WvaxCtYPMs0_GUOw9xY-DMmsj9Hf4bv3u-L7f9aKW1kZWZ3GynSQcoLd1ucZlWsMIF3MPZV5x2DMbtd5aPXSbVuo0icVtxsd0zlvOLX4U8nyDR5QMFc0gQGrQkD3r0wyp45y7CtAEgM/s1600/DSC01503.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5WvaxCtYPMs0_GUOw9xY-DMmsj9Hf4bv3u-L7f9aKW1kZWZ3GynSQcoLd1ucZlWsMIF3MPZV5x2DMbtd5aPXSbVuo0icVtxsd0zlvOLX4U8nyDR5QMFc0gQGrQkD3r0wyp45y7CtAEgM/s320/DSC01503.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After mixing</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You take a small amount of the mixed polish into your hand and smooth onto DRY skin, rub in circular motions then wash off. All of the salt but not all of the oils are washed off, leaving you with a very light layer of the smoothest, most stunningly scented oil on your skin. I used this just on my hands to try it out when I was there for my facial and could not stop running my hands over each other throughout my facial, that's how I knew I had to have it! The representative also told me that you can use this before shaving your legs and you don't have to use shaving foam/cream. I've tried this once and it works like a dream but you need to clean your razor after as the oil clogged it up a little.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigjVFjo3YTwUQgUChyphenhyphenyzBJTYte5E_kFQr-u0imMki2BJl_CGC-1YsXqkis_PhMtL0MHELzwdSCYSp0HmZPqqZzgBFEgxHATKwaJ0-m9PcrtgrUqwtdxEQ4t1wN5aNACeBmsdVspPO7PZE/s1600/DSC01505.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigjVFjo3YTwUQgUChyphenhyphenyzBJTYte5E_kFQr-u0imMki2BJl_CGC-1YsXqkis_PhMtL0MHELzwdSCYSp0HmZPqqZzgBFEgxHATKwaJ0-m9PcrtgrUqwtdxEQ4t1wN5aNACeBmsdVspPO7PZE/s320/DSC01505.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
all you need for silky soft hands!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
They also do a face polish using rice instead of sea salt, it smelled just as divine so might get that next time as I'm so blown away by this product. The scent is luxurious, as though you are on an exotic island in a five star spa. It smells mostly of citrus fruits, patchouli, bergamot and a little bit of mint. That might not sound too appetizing but the effect is glorious.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've ranted on enough now I reckon. You get the gist, I love love love this product. I wish it was a tad cheaper as I know I will end up buying multiple pots of this, but it is worth every penny and I'd still buy it if it was double the price. Sigh.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

10/10 and a gold star :)</div>

It's Friday! You know what that means, party time! Well not actually for me as I'm working tomorrow, but generally speaking it's the time for getting your heels on, having one too many Cosmopolitans and dancing the night away. But how best to shine on a night out? Slap on some highlighter. Whether you like to go for the disco-ball look or fancy a light smattering of glitter and iridescence, you can't go wrong with a bit of highlighter. After years of being faithful to Benefit's High Beam, I saw a makeup artist use this creme in a makeup video and was sorely tempted by it. Fast forward to the FeelUnique sale and it's mine!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Do you like the flowers? I was feeling girly so wanted some to spruce up the flat, flowers just make everything a little brighter! Anyway the highlighter has a classic black matt box, and the case is the same, it wouldn't photograph properly so I left it out as you can google it easily enough! You get a decent mirror inside it and you get 4.25g for £17.00 (feelunique.com have 20% off at the moment).<br />

This has such a beautiful sheen to it, I was worried it might be a bit gritty if there was a lot of pigment in it. Luckily I was wrong, the cream is very, well creamy! You know what I mean, it's very smooth and light to the touch and looks beautiful on, I'm very tempted to slather it all over me and attract various strange looks in the workplace...maybe I won't though.<br />

This shade is called "Iced Gold", and I would class it as a pearly colour than leans towards ivory rather than silver. It's a very flattering, angelic glean and I'm in love! This will be my new go-to product when I'm feeling dull or under the weather. Or about to strap on the stilettos! Go buy this, now!!<br />
<br />
10/10- yes really!<br />

Konjac sponges, not the kind that speak and live under the sea and wear pants. Kid's tv programs are really odd, now I come to think of it.<br />
<br />
Anyway, Konjac sponges have been used in Japan for over 1500 years to cleanse the skin in a natural, gentle manner. You can get different sponges for different skin types, some have clay added to them and some have charcoal or just plain. They are 100% natural vegetable fiber, and you can use them just with water or with a little bit of cleanser. I bought the Charcoal Bamboo Sponge, for oily and combination skin. This is how it arrived, looking very squishy and moist, which wasn't particularly attractive.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAY0Jp8f6lTWH6uy9oFhZIPU6fJSC76cPKRDLoS0X2mQ8Wbyf9YFLTrGxDng4jYDxBlQKscGtTLL2aES0ID4SKltDxEf2YMLgCfdJ4HWVF4hUtHb0Jl8nRGLo1wfMShBzpFaIAOgKYeKM/s1600/DSC01883.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAY0Jp8f6lTWH6uy9oFhZIPU6fJSC76cPKRDLoS0X2mQ8Wbyf9YFLTrGxDng4jYDxBlQKscGtTLL2aES0ID4SKltDxEf2YMLgCfdJ4HWVF4hUtHb0Jl8nRGLo1wfMShBzpFaIAOgKYeKM/s320/DSC01883.JPG" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
Regardless of the pretty rubbish packaging, I was quite excited to open this up and give it a go! According to the instructions the sponge must be soaked prior to use and left to dry hard between uses. It can be used to remove makeup or just to cleanse the face daily. It has a little string for you to hold it or presumably hang it up if you want to. </div>
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think it looks a little like one of those "pet rock" things! It has a nice soft consistency, feels a little rubbery on the surface and squashes easily. I've used this twice now and am so far quite happy with the results. It leaves your skin soft and cleansed and my skin does feel a little less oily. But beware, this will NOT remove waterproof eyemakup well. It will just smudge it around after dissolving it into a sludge-like consistency and give you panda eyes. My advice it to take off your eye makeup first with a specific eye makeup remover, then use this. It would also be good first thing in the morning before you tone, moisturise etc. I'm going to use mine in the bath after the majority of my makeup is off.</div>

These sponges each last around 3-5 months with continuous use, you can get them from FeelUnique <a href="http://www.feelunique.com/search?q=konjac&filter=fh_location=//c1/en_GB/%24s%3d%5cu007bkonjac%5cu007d/brand%3e%7ba902%7d" target="_blank">here</a> or the <a href="http://www.konjacspongecompany.com/" target="_blank">Konjac Sponge Company</a> directly. FeelUnique have a sale on right now and free delivery, I got mine for £5.85, they are usually around £6.50. I think this is a really great product once you work out how to use it! </div>

Live your life beautifully, I think there's a lot to be said for that. On that note, I was trawling etsy looking for unusual gifts for the other half's 30th bday and stumbled upon Live Beautifully, an American company owned by a presumably very happy couple who make all natural beauty. A distant bell rang in my head somewhere and I realised I had seen this company before on one of the blogs I read and seen the beautiful packaging as the parcel arrived. Much excited by this, I placed an order and waited eagerly for its delivery from America!<br />

I love all the handmade touches they have added to the products and the packaging. Each of the products has a lovely natural scent made with real whole ingredients that work (they use organic oils). The packaging is inspired by an old French boutique and I think it is gorgeous. I also like the hand signed note saying thanks, really personal.<br />

These are three of their beautiful lip balms, in sampler sizes. The large versions are 5 dollars each, but I got three of these little ones for $5 which seemed like a really good option if you just want to try them for the first time. I was drawn to the Southern Peach Rose firstly, it sounded like such a delicate feminine fragrance, and the other combinations sounded just as delightful, but I ended up with Sweet Strawberry Honesuckle and Creamsicle Dreamsicle. Check out their full range at their <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/LiveBeautifullyBody" target="_blank">etsy store</a>. There are some stunning scents available like Black Chocolate Berry and Cotton Candy Dreaming. The descriptions are lovely and so are the pictures. Everything feels very wholesome and classic. I've only tried the Creamsicle Dreamsicle so far but it's lovely. Quite light in consistency but soothing on the lips, a nice summer balm. Probably not thick enough for the winter or for very dry or chapped lips, but this would be perfect for a top up during the day or as a base for a lipstick. The scents are stunning, however and actually smell of what they claim to without smelling artificial or sickly sweet. </div>

As you can see I was on a bit of a lip-product rampage! This is one of their whipped lip butters in Raspberry and Vanilla, it looks a bit like a sugar scrub but it's actualy a smooth salve with little bubbles of lip butter that burst when you smooth them onto your lips. This is slightly thicker and more moisturising texture than the other balms, and it also smells delicious! These are around $5.00 each.<br />
<br />
I really like this company, I like their ethos, their handmade packaging and their lovingly made products. Check them out <a href="http://www.livebeautifullybody.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">here</a>! You can pay by PayPal through their etsy store, which is secure and very handy and their delivery charges are very reasonable.<br />

A lovely woman at my work agreed to cover the four hour shift I was supposed to be doing so a box of choccies will be heading her way to say thanks! Today I have a review of a couple of items from a recent e.l.f order I placed recently. I love e.l.f, their products are really good value for money, high performing products within cheapish packaging to keep the prices low. The items are available in America and the UK, not sure about where else, check out their <a href="http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/index.htm" target="_blank">website</a> for more info. I ordered quite a few bits and bobs as they had a half price sale on,I'm still trying some of them out, but these two are items I'd never tried before.<br />

I love cream blushers, and to be honest I was wondering why it was so much more expensive than many of the other items(£6.50 when many items are around £2.00), so wanted to see if it was any good! It's from their studio range, which is generally a little higher in price but the products are great. When the blush arrived I realised partially why it was a bit more expensive- it's MASSIVE. Like the size of your face. Ok not quite, but it's three times the size of most of my other blushers and you get a huge 15g of product which makes it positively cheap!<br />

There is an awful lot of packaging, it's not the most portable item but the performance outweighs the bulkiness of it.<br />

The texture of the blush is spongy, moussy as opposed to a cream as such, it's very easy to get out of the pot though when I've used a lot more of it this might not be the case. I think I'd start using a stippling brush once I get further down. The consistency is not too thick, and it blends very easily, sinking into the skin, making it hard to overload with blush. The shade I have is Vixen which is pretty highly pigmented so it's good you don't end up looking like a clown.<br />

Next up was the tinted moisturiser in Porcelain. I had tried their Flawless Finish foundation a couple of years ago, and while it was a good foundation, it was a little too moisturising for my oily skin so I fancied trying this in case it was more suited to my skin type. It contains Aloe and Cucumber which are calming, and SPF20. This costs £3.75 for 25ml of product. I'm still undecided as to whether I'm impressed by this.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is their lightest shade, described as being for very fair skin with yellow undertones, but when it is squeezed out it looks very yellow/orangey. The consistency of this is quite odd, it's like a paste rather than a cream, and quite gelatinous. I was really dubious of putting this on my skin, but in a rush to go to work one day I slapped it on with my blusher, and received a couple of compliments! It adjusts well to your skin tone and has a light to medium coverage. As this is a moisturiser it feels a tad shiny/sticky when first on, but once set with powder it didn't budge all day. Overall I reckon I'll need to wear this more often to decide if I love it or am just using it up, but initial results are good for day to day wear!<br />
<br />
9/10 for the blusher and 6/10 for the tinted moisturiser. Have you ever tried elf, if so do you have any favourite items I should try? xx<br />

<br />
Hope you are all having a mini heatwave like we are in Scotland at the moment, can't believe it's so warm at this time of year, it makes your days go a bit more quickly I think! The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is in full swing, if you haven't heard of it before, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edinburgh_Festival_Fringe" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a> says it's the worlds largest arts festival. Ever since going to high school in Edinburgh as a teen I've loved how the whole city comes to live and is flooded with entertainers and tourists from all around the world. From ventriloquism and street dance groups to famous comedians, theater and music, there is so much going on. If you've never been, I'd recommend it. Lots of areas of the city are set up at night as pop up bars too so the night life is great!<br />
<br />
I promise I don't work for the tourist board haha! But it is awesome so check it out if you can. The <i>actual </i>purpose of this post was to review the much acclaimed Reve De Miel Lip Balm by Nuxe, one of the items I had picked up in France, photographed in my mum's house in France, on her lovely cushion!!<br />

If you don't know what this is, it's another "cult" product that has being doing the rounds on some beauty blogs and vlogs that I read/watch. As it's a French product and notoriously difficult to get ahold of here, I decided to try and get one when I was away. I was a little shocked to hear that it's £10 in Selfridges in London but the reviews were raving about it. I got it for around 9 euros in a pharmacie, so that was a bit more manageable but my inner cheapskate was still balking at the price when my beloved chapstick is a pound!<br />

You also get a generous 15grams of product, and the packaging is beautiful. The pot is glass and the lid is a smooth white plastic, and the box it comes in is sturdy and pretty to look at. I really like products in chunky glass pots, and I like the frosting. It feels worth the money, but is the product any good?<br />

I was a bit disappointed/confused when I saw the little bubbles or cracks on the surface, but they literally disappear the first time you swipe your finger across the surface. The product itself is a gorgeous buttery consistency, quite thick and very smooth. You don't need a lot and it doesn't show or look shiny on your lips, which is good if you wanted to put a matte lipstick on over it. I can see what all the fuss was about, I tend to put this on at night and wake up with baby soft lips, I haven't had any flaking or peeling at all! The main attraction for me with this product, however, is the smell. This smells lightly of honey but more so of oranges and grapefruits, I love it. I keep opening it just to sniff it! So guys, there's room up here on this bandwagon if you fancy getting on it. It's definitely worth the hype.<br />
<br />
I'm away to enjoy the sun, but will be announcing my first giveaway very shortly so keep checking back!<br />

Morning dears, hope you're ready for another France installment. Richard and I spent a couple of days in Limoges by ourselves, and I had googled the Sephora shops so I could drag him there.What I didn't realise, however, was that every 100 metres there is a pharmacy, full of amazing brands like Nuxe, La Roche Posay, Avene and Bioderma. I was literally in heaven, Richard had to ban me from going into pharmacies after a while :( The Sephora stores lived up to the memories I have of them, stocked to the rafters with goodies, and after each purchase they spray you with your favourite perfume then give you a sample of it to take away!<br />

Since reading about Bioderma's Eau Miscellar water cleanser, I really wanted to try some of their products, and they have a really helpful website which shows you all the products they make, click <a href="http://www.bioderma.com/en/home.html" target="_blank">here</a> to have a look. As I tend to be oily and get blemishes the green "Sebium" range was for me. This set was around 12 euros, which is amazing for these two products but it was on a special deal. I got the cleansing gel and the purifying treatment.<br />

You are meant to put this on clean skin at least once a day, and you can wear makeup over it if you like, it's like a very light gel-cream that is meant to combat imperfections. I've only been using it for four days and I can see a difference already. It does tingle/sting a bit when you first put it on but my skin seems used to it now and I haven't had any problems with this. Definitely would recommend this for skin with blemishes. I haven't tried the gel wash yet but have heard good things so watch this space.<br />

I did buy the Bioderma Eau Miscellaire but it is currently still in France waiting for my mum to drive it back for me to review! However I had seen on the Sephora website that they do their own version, which was a little cheaper, so I picked up one of these to try too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />Look at the dispenser! Am I the only one excited by this? You take a cotton pad and put it on the round bit, push down twice and away you go. I later found that Bioderma do a bottle with this design too but it was only available in one out the twenty odd pharmacies I visited. Anyway back to the product, I found this very refreshing and soothing on my skin, it doesn't have a strong scent and it does take off all your makeup. I'm unsure if you are meant to tone after this or not, they do sell toner next to this but this looks too much like a toner already for me! I much prefer this to cream cleansers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Another item I had researched before going away was this little Precision Sponge, Sephora's version of the Beauty Blender. It was much cheaper than the Beauty Blender, coming in at 10 euros as opposed to £16.00. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9oBcfh_QBOSuhhYzpcHOCzpuim7k7TN5RolBbSrWM-D0SiRnLXAa2OteZiHVwc35NVKrdb0Lr8fDwwCdhizBM55xQYKgF0AaUJOmYrDaLAxp45XneaaR6Y5Sdke0gYhyFiWHauweLj2o/s1600/DSC01585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9oBcfh_QBOSuhhYzpcHOCzpuim7k7TN5RolBbSrWM-D0SiRnLXAa2OteZiHVwc35NVKrdb0Lr8fDwwCdhizBM55xQYKgF0AaUJOmYrDaLAxp45XneaaR6Y5Sdke0gYhyFiWHauweLj2o/s320/DSC01585.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
It is a little egg-shaped sponge with a rounded base and a pointed top so that you can reach smaller areas e.g. around the nose and eyes. The idea is that you wet the sponge, wring it out and then "bounce" the product across your face. This method of application means that there are no smears, lines, or patchy areas and that application is much easier. You can also use the sponge for cream blushers etc.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn4uGQ_TgAaz25FMOmZAd47O7wv8PMWcoZcJlxU5DixAz1RAuIPUxyfHpMBBWKhfLqpeWaifHpRQ1EALKYyi-yP-cO835axvT7lL-pY56Gmx6ZcVgafRJtG3otJlWXbtSMb6UUk6ScmJU/s1600/DSC01589.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn4uGQ_TgAaz25FMOmZAd47O7wv8PMWcoZcJlxU5DixAz1RAuIPUxyfHpMBBWKhfLqpeWaifHpRQ1EALKYyi-yP-cO835axvT7lL-pY56Gmx6ZcVgafRJtG3otJlWXbtSMb6UUk6ScmJU/s320/DSC01589.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I find that this does indeed offer a more even coverage but it takes a little getting used to when using it, especially with cream blushes getting the technique right took a few tries. I really want to try the Cosmopolitan version of this also.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Finally, we have one of Sephora's own lipsticks. I have to say I was a little shocked when I saw the price tags of their own makeup, maybe I've become a cheapskate or maybe they're more expensive than I remembered but this was 10.90 euros, when I remember paying around 8 only two years ago. That's quite a jump! Anyway I had Richard with me and was boring him to tears with the "What do you think of this colour, is it too boring? Yes it's too boring, you're right. What about this one? No, too pale." Poor guy looked like he wanted to jump out of a window when he finally pointed at this one and said "If you have to get something, that one looks alright". So I snaffled it.<br />

How dark is that! Very vampy. I love it though, and on coming home I picked up this months magazines and apparently dark, dramatic berry shades are in. Well there you go. It smells beautiful and applies very easily. It actually can be very wearable if blotted properly, this is heavily applied to show the colour payoff. This is from their Rouge Cream Collection, you can find it on the US website <a href="http://www.sephora.com/rouge-cream-lipstick-P249814?skuId=1198944" target="_blank">here</a>. They are really the most beautiful colours, this is in the shade Crush.<br />
<br />
Well that's it for today, back tomorrow with more goodies. Sorry about the massive post with all the pics but had to be done :) Have a great day guys xx<br />

I've missed you. I got back from France last night, and am currently in limbo all out of sync with the weather and holiday frame of mind. Sigh. We had an amazing time, and a week wasn't enough. I nearly cried like a small child when we arrived in Edinburgh to see people bundled up in coats and the rain drizzling around us. But I did get some amazing French goodies, so I will apologise in advance for the onslaught of reviews that is heading your way. First up though, a picture of some patisseries, just because.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuD5MTNPFOfCa4KA5kSCLseVeU3iS4h3cDipKEaGrqS2_24Yb8j44CX_srbDorzSZ_kkACnF5tkbS3h5R1fc2tEm9o2S52gRckfS5eIbHOUk2U2pBvo42Fbl0HHEsN5m4A7_9PWIwvt04/s1600/DSC01703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuD5MTNPFOfCa4KA5kSCLseVeU3iS4h3cDipKEaGrqS2_24Yb8j44CX_srbDorzSZ_kkACnF5tkbS3h5R1fc2tEm9o2S52gRckfS5eIbHOUk2U2pBvo42Fbl0HHEsN5m4A7_9PWIwvt04/s400/DSC01703.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
YUM. Every second street has a patisserie or boulangerie that puts our bakeries to shame. They are like works of art, and taste amazing. I'm making myself want to go back just looking at this picture. So lets move on. As I'm sure you will be surprised to hear, I managed to control myself at Duty Free and only bought from the MAC counter. I was trying not to spend a fortune before even getting on the plane, so decided to just buy a lipstick...then an eyeshadow blending brush.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicrsUBfaz9oxLmQesSLGJowuDAvhyfGr2bCmRkUh2ioaOnYymuZoxt61oMnbQhm-sIZeG1SWbb5mDWZ6PK8u30skct0yKV9gK9-67M43TgcpiWfFYxdbpoy9fTaDqt3418Q4-GS8JpArg/s1600/DSC01525.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicrsUBfaz9oxLmQesSLGJowuDAvhyfGr2bCmRkUh2ioaOnYymuZoxt61oMnbQhm-sIZeG1SWbb5mDWZ6PK8u30skct0yKV9gK9-67M43TgcpiWfFYxdbpoy9fTaDqt3418Q4-GS8JpArg/s320/DSC01525.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
So I figured, everyone bangs on about Mac Angel, I really need to see what the fuss is all about. It's a Frost Finish, which I didn't know as it's always portrayed as a perfect nude shade. Also Kim K's favourite (YAWN). As a beauty blogger of sorts, I really should own some of these cult shades to see what I think about them, contrary to following the hype I tend to want to disprove it, maybe my little inner rebel coming out!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUU4x5XNuC7ESxtNnjNKjYulSzpWVmi4XX0OIb-xZFs0wyFOsZ9H4Gcd-Manma7H6Rd7D2eBhJX_kaUNTYKiW65f3QPU0WHEcDlOYhWFbaeSWjWWJjTWg74b63Mw2k920d4bq4cBsmXTc/s1600/DSC01532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUU4x5XNuC7ESxtNnjNKjYulSzpWVmi4XX0OIb-xZFs0wyFOsZ9H4Gcd-Manma7H6Rd7D2eBhJX_kaUNTYKiW65f3QPU0WHEcDlOYhWFbaeSWjWWJjTWg74b63Mw2k920d4bq4cBsmXTc/s320/DSC01532.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
As I'm unable to keep things for long without using them, I only waited to get on the plane before taking pics of this. You can only image what I'm like on Christmas Day. Yep, I'm basically an overgrown child. In the bullet this looks like a dusky rose pink with brown undertones. I wouldn't say that the frost finish is very obvious for this shade at all, you really have to peer at the bullet to see the shimmer and it isn't obvious at all on.<br />

This is pretty heavily swatched as I found that it wasn't very highly pigmented on the skin.<br />

Am I blown away by this? No, not really. It's a pretty colour, very wearable but doesn't pack enough of a punch for me. It's a bit too...vanilla. But I'll add it to the collection and I'm sure it will get used at some point. The brush I bought was another Pixiwoo inspired purchase, those girls are no good for my bank balance. A lot of my eyebrow brushes are from various sets, and tend to be smaller in size. I had seen this brush being used by Sam in a couple of smokey eye videos and liked how it softened out the look.<br />

This is the MAC 217 Blending brush, the Pixiwoo girls always seem to keep theirs very clean but looking at these bristles I don't see myself managing to keep this clean at all. In France the weather was so warm that all my eyeshadow and other makeup seemed to slide down my face so I ended up wearing just BB cream and mascara, so I will need to try this out and get back to you on it!<br />
<br />
Speaking of the weather, I had a couple of little sun tan lotions to try out while I was away, so just wanted to mention these briefly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDR3zr9Yb6IWEea1Gs4Icbs6afU65qk4Oi5bqLtzgbwNJf6DUgWPQwE941lQSvZJPcPIfxi3RFohLU7O8Er20q-zUNT5fZIo71an7gKT3EC1npqVLS58gS1Ih_Wu4eP-6W8iFDLpk33BE/s1600/DSC01556.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDR3zr9Yb6IWEea1Gs4Icbs6afU65qk4Oi5bqLtzgbwNJf6DUgWPQwE941lQSvZJPcPIfxi3RFohLU7O8Er20q-zUNT5fZIo71an7gKT3EC1npqVLS58gS1Ih_Wu4eP-6W8iFDLpk33BE/s320/DSC01556.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
We have Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration and Green People sun lotion with tan accelerator. These are both SPF 15, which is what I would normally use. The Hawaiian Tropic has "ribbons" of hydration throughout the product. The packaging is lovely and you can see the swirled effect through the plastic. It smells delicious, as do all their products, although this is floral rather than fruity. Your skin is indeed left soft and protected but I got rather annoyed at this products as it separated if you didn't use it for over 6 hours or so, meaning that you squirted out a sort of yellow oil and the cream separately. It was fine if you just shook it back together but I wasn't a fan overall. This is £14.99 for 180ml.<br />
<br />
The Green People's packaging is dull as ditchwater, but the product is 98% natural in origin and smells of essential oils. It was just a bog standard white cream but certainly did the job. I put this on my legs to attempt to get them to change colour at all as they are very stubborn, and did see a slight difference, but nothing major. If you are into natural products I would definitely recommend this product. It is £17.95 for 200ml.<br />
<br />
Anyway guys, it's good to be back, you will be hearing about France for the next couple of posts then I promise to shut up about it! If you want to know, I was in the Limousin region near Limoges :)<br />
xx<br />

I don't tend to buy magazines normally, the majority of the articles are available online and I hate wasting paper. This is why I feel especially guilty buying multiple copies of a magazine just to get the range of freebies. Glamour magazine in the UK really spoil us with the freebies they have, from Clinique and Benefit to the latest offering, Balance Me. This month you can choose from an eye cream, moisturiser, face wash and lip salve, each worth £11-12 each!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX2bYWzVSjoe-3Wj2n-js9SoHmmX-fcN3Sn1PEeKQLNYScUSDcM-Z_RU9Sz7SHeqzs5I-_hb42326IUZqGvyX3LxgRo3DbNA6BiSr6LLTK8Q-FF6TWbC7TIAf7hYeOB8P4PrAckwbvJBo/s1600/DSC01482.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX2bYWzVSjoe-3Wj2n-js9SoHmmX-fcN3Sn1PEeKQLNYScUSDcM-Z_RU9Sz7SHeqzs5I-_hb42326IUZqGvyX3LxgRo3DbNA6BiSr6LLTK8Q-FF6TWbC7TIAf7hYeOB8P4PrAckwbvJBo/s320/DSC01482.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
So far I've just picked up the lip salve, face wash and eye cream, as I have facial moisturisers galore, but I'm tempted to pick it up now that I've tried the other items. BalanceMe is a brand based on natural products, which is huge right now for any brand. It's fairly expensive as a brand but you get what you pay for. Check out their <a href="https://www.balanceme.co.uk/" target="_blank">website</a> to find out more about their philosophy and product range.<br />

<br />
This wonder eye cream claims to soothe, brighten and lift. It smells lovely, very natural as you would expect. I have sensitive eyes so was worried any essential oils would irritate them. My worries were unfounded, this cream is lovely and really does make you feel as though your eyes have opened up, it is very refreshing and wakes you right up! Really love this product, and having only paid £2.00 for the magazine it is an amazing deal.<br />

<br />
Next up we have the Pure Skin Face wash for normal to combination skin, which I was very excited to try. Not that I need any more face washes, but I like the fact that this has no sulphates in it. Obviously, this does not lather as such on your skin, it is more like a mixture between a gel and a balm but with a lighter consistency. Still smells gorgeous, and when you wash it off you don't feel like your skin has been stripped of all its natural oils.<br />

Last up is my favourite product of the three, the rose otto intensive lip salve. I read reviews of this online before getting the magazine, and liked the idea that it goes on as a thick gel then melts away into the lips. It really does! Salve generally suggests to me a rubbish watery product that doesn't do much (I HATE the Cow Shed one). I like to feel that something is actually on my lips, but also don't like sticky lip products (fussy much?) This does what it says on the tin, it's natural, smells lightly but inoffensively of roses, and intensively moisturises. This really is a great product, and my Chapstick and Eos balms have been replaced temporarily. I've also been making women in my work try this too.<br />
<br />
If you are going on holiday and want a treat with your magazine at the airport, or just want a little treat in general, I would definitely recommend getting Glamour. I'm even considering getting ANOTHER one of the lip salves, I definitely don't need it but it's such a great deal and I'll probably regret not getting another one (I only picked up one of the little Porefessionals and regretted it!). Get to the newsagents!! NOW!<br />

<br /></div>
Morning all, happy Sunday etc! Another body scrub review of one of the items sent to me kindly by Betty Buff, this time the Banoffee Sugar Scrub. This is a little different from the Besty Zesty Scrub I reviewed <a href="http://kokeshibeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/kokeshi-in-buff.html" target="_blank">here,</a> which I sadly finished the other day. I was in love with that scrub and was a bit worried I wouldnt like this one as much. <br />

The formulation of these sort of scrubs are very different from the likes of the Besty Zesty, which had a lot of liquid to mix in with the sugar and visible bits of fruit through it. This is a much drier formula, which made me feel like it scrubbed a bit deeper but was a bit harder to use as it was crumbly and tended to fall on the floor when I was using it in the shower. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEwfENJc_qGG42KHcU-6P7a3Vc7g7wznDV77jYMpA92fbMsEEJNtRVSQ42AhpxYyG-OlOgLuskRQCoMchHzk1-dCJHbJxmkaMt9dSyi5R52Ia5zUrPg6mIKe4VHaHx4MX9EN9FBpQiN2E/s1600/DSC01467.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEwfENJc_qGG42KHcU-6P7a3Vc7g7wznDV77jYMpA92fbMsEEJNtRVSQ42AhpxYyG-OlOgLuskRQCoMchHzk1-dCJHbJxmkaMt9dSyi5R52Ia5zUrPg6mIKe4VHaHx4MX9EN9FBpQiN2E/s320/DSC01467.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
As you can see the sugar all molds together in the pot, it's very sticky and smells delicious! There is brown sugar and freeze dried banana in this, it makes for a rich, warming smell. Very comforting, it reminds me of gingerbread men and banana bread, there is something very sensual about this smell too, like rich coffee.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIusjO1kkpDS8zKYDDeIcBI286vpCWaKDQX_oXU4_GMXgYNXWNumWrPmycxSP45aj_bslycJ45WkbVb7BaVx7YXPpeshW-pDQmrw5nrvkE52bkQDn_hGa0vQPGp_3flIaNEMEATtosPGw/s1600/DSC01469.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIusjO1kkpDS8zKYDDeIcBI286vpCWaKDQX_oXU4_GMXgYNXWNumWrPmycxSP45aj_bslycJ45WkbVb7BaVx7YXPpeshW-pDQmrw5nrvkE52bkQDn_hGa0vQPGp_3flIaNEMEATtosPGw/s320/DSC01469.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
It is a little too crumbly for my liking, but when it is on your skin and wet, the scent wafts up to you and there is a brownish residue on your skin around the sugar which reminds me of some luxury body treatments I've had abroad. Your skin is left very soft and smooth afterwards. <br />

I do love this scrub and I would definitely recommend it to others, especially for winter time due to the scent, but my heart still lies with Besty Zesty unfortunately! Partly due to the oils and fruit pieces and partly due to the scent. I'm a grapefruit girl at heart!<br />

8/10 for this<br />

I got a free facial and ended up buying myself an amazing body scrub, could not resist! But that's for another review, today I'm doing a review of a mascara which I would probably never have bought, but it arrived through my door in an envelope for me!<br />
<br />
This isn't a PR gift, apparently I had voted for Maybelline in some sort of beauty awards thing online and was one of the lucky people to win a mascara for doing so! BONUS. Anyway, I'm a bit of a mascara snob usually so I don't tend to buy drugstore brands (bad, I know). But if it's free I'll always give it a bash!<br />

Sorry if this looks a little beaten up, I've been taking it around with me in my handbag for a couple of days to give it a proper testing, and it seems to scratch rather easily. So this is the latest offering in the Volum'Express range of mascaras, which have been about for quite some time now in various formats. There seem to be 9 in the range at the moment, all in this funny tapered tube but in different colours. It is a very teenage-friendly tube, bulky, bright, easy to use but not very elegant. Cheap and cheerful but fairly pretty, it's only around the £8 mark so you can't expect too much. Plus if you're like me it will get ruined soon enough anyway getting lugged about in your handbag!<br />

This is the brush, it's not a plastic one like we are seeing more and more of, but the interesting thing about this one is one side is straight while the other is curved. Ok, maybe not <i>interesting</i> but you catch my drift. You are supposed to use the "spoon side" against your lashes then the flat side to flare them out. Does this really work? I don't know about the specific sides etc but the effect is really very good for a drugstore mascara, I was very impressed with this! Check it out:<br />

I think the effect is quite impressive! Almost as good as Benefit's They're Real, the current bestselling mascara in the UK, if not as good. I really can see the flare looking at these pictures, and my eyes seem to have opened up almost instantly. Weirdly, I only recently found out that I have hooded eyelids, and not deep-set eyes as my mum used to say. Basically my eyelids aren't visible when I look fully straight ahead, even though I do have an eyelid crease. This is different to the monolid that many asian people have, but still leads to me being asked about my ethnicity sometimes. I don't mind at all, I love looking a bit different! I was watching a Pixiwoo video tutorial about makeup for hooded eyes and I was like OMG that's me! It's a bit annoying as if you put shadow on it can't be seen properly, or transfers higher up the lid than it's supposed to be.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
Rant over haha.The main aim of this review was to talk about the mascara, got a little distracted there! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
10/10 for this definitely. Although a sneaky 5/10 for the packaging, sorry Maybelline but it's a bit garish.</div>

I use this greeting as this time next week I will be in France! Literally so excited it's unreal. Not actually so much for the holiday but for duty free and Sephora, is that wrong? I have a list of things I want to get and have allocated funds specifically for makeup and skin care! Sad much? Yep, judge me.<br />
<br />
Before I go and get a bunch of new European goodies, I'd better review some of my recent purchases here in old Blighty. I've been quite good, trying to use up old bits and bobs than buying new things, as I know I'm going away. However you may remember my my review of the Too Faced Candlelight Powder (<a href="http://kokeshibeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/let-there-be-lightand-love.html" target="_blank">here</a>). Well at the time I picked up a few other bits including their Shadow Insurance, which unfortunately was faulty :( I have to say Debenhams were very helpful and gave me the chance to exchange for something else!<br />

This is the Teddy Bear Big Powder Brush and it is GORGEOUS. It was the very last one, sitting there looking lost and forlorn, so I gave it a home. Boy am I glad I did. It's like applying your powder with a cloud. The good thing for the tree-hugging animal lovers out there is that it is completely synthetic.<br />

I fell in love with the little bow around the handle, it's just beautiful and so girly. This isn't a very professional grown-up looking brush, I can't see it being bought in bulk by MUA's but for your own collection, it's a great brush. These are £26.00 though I got mine half price in the sale, and I would willingly pay full price for it again. The bristles are so so soft, I kept tickling my palm with it just because it feels so nice and forcing various people to feel it "feel how soft this is" *attacks with brush whilst they look scared*<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The darker bristles at the end are good, I was worried I would end up staining the brush with my various powders. It picks up powder well, I've had to learn to have a lighter hand with this in order to pick up the right amount.<br />

Look at the lovely soft bristles! I have a full brush collection now, but should I need to replace any of them I will definitely look to Too Faced. Do any of you own their brushes or just their makeup? If not, well worth a look.<br />

Gotta love a bit of animal print, even if it can lead to Bet Lynch comparisons. I had saved up some Boots points on my Advantage Card so redeemed them on this little beauty, a cream eyeshadow from 17. This shade is Wild Nude, but there are currently six shades in the range.<br />

I always worry about metallic shades incase they look a bit 90s, and for this reason I shied away from the blue shade. It might have actually been lovely on, but it looked SCARY. Anyway I stuck to boring nude, I have been watching a load of Pixiwoo videos recently and loving how they use cream shadows as a base to give depth to the overall eye look.<br />

The shine coming off this shade is really gorgeous, and the formulation is very smooth and creamy. You do need to prime with this as I have found it prone to creasing. It doesn't crease if you prime and layer shadow over it, but you can't really get away with wearing it on it's own. But for £4 compared to around £17 for a not dissimilar high-end product, I can handle that.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is the eyeshadow used as a base with a mid brown shade from the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick, and Chocolate gel liner. I do see what the Pixiwoo girls mean by adding another dimension to the look, as when you blink or look around the shadow shimmers and shines slightly.<br />
<br />
Regardless of the tendency to crease, I give this 9/10 and would repurchase<br />

I've got a little US ebay purchase for you today, I'd seen this blusher on a couple of blogs and international swaps and was instantly intrigued by how...squishy it looked! I couldn't quite get how you use it if the product just bounces back when you touch it. I decided on the shade no 20 Peach Satin.<br />

It's more of a coral than a peach colour I think? The packaging is your bog standard Maybelline but is quite study and does the job!<br />

This is what it looks like when you push your finger onto it isn't that crazy? It doesn't actually seem to bounce back up as such, but if you push another bit down this comes up again, if that makes sense. Also if you just push down on it none comes off on your finger which makes application a little difficult, you need to really drag your finger into and across the product to get any off.<br />

I don't know if you can see it properly but some of the product comes off in little bits which is a tad irritating. However, all that aside, this product feels beautiful on, very silky and smooth. It is a stunning colour and lasts well on, I put this on to swatch it and it would not come off for hours! I think if you ignored the finger application and used this with a stippling brush it would rival the best cream blushes in the business. If you fancy a break from the norm, get yourself onto ebay and order one of these.<br />
<br />
7/10 but only because the product is so hard to get out of the pot and onto the skin<br />

Sorry I've been MIA for the past week, I've been working loads and been coming home drained and not up for blogging, just some sleep! Anyway I'm back with a vengeance and have an amazing Illamasqua haul to show you.<br />
For my overseas readers, <a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/" target="_blank">Illamasqua</a> is a British brand launched in 2008 based on the dramatic makeup of the 1920's Berlin cabaret scene. There are some amazing products and collections, bold and shocking. I love their makeup so when I saw they were having a sale I was super excited and jumped online. For a high-end brand their sale prices are actually very good, around 70% off. Let's have a look what came in the post!<br />

How stunning! This is their Cream Eyeshadow in Wail, a muted grey-pink colour. I'm always a bit cautious of cream eyeshadows incase they crease badly but these have a really good reputation so I thought I'd go for it. I really like this colour, I want to try a couple of smoky eye looks with this as I think they would work really well.<br />

The texture is very smooth, almost like a lip balm consistency rather than a cream, but it dried well on my arm, matt but somehow not a flat colour. I want some other colours now!<br />

<br />This is their medium pencil, a multi-tasking product which can be used on eyes, lips anywhere you like really! I went for Torment, a gorgeous raspberry-red colour, which I will use as a lip pencil as I'm no way brave enough to use it on my eyes!!<br />

My skin looks so pale here! Might need to go for a Snow White pale skin and red lip look! I don't ever use lip liners but I hate my lipsticks feathering so now might be the time to start, and I love this shade, it's a warm shade, very romantic.<br />

My last buy is their Light Liquid Foundation in shade LF120 which is one of the lightest shades but with pink undertones, which isn't exactly my skin tone as I'm more neutral but they didn't have any other options around my colour. However this actually matches very well.<br />

Read the back! It's little touches like this that draw me to this brand, the packaging, the ethos and the fact that we finally have a British brand to rival the likes of Bobbi Brown and MAC makes me happy. Also, they have the S.O.P.H.I.E products and a short film dedicated to the memory of Sophie Lancaster, a British teenager who was beaten to death for her style (gothic). If you have a chance, watch the film as it's very beautiful.<br />

<br />
It is a very light formulation as the name suggests, easily blended and doesn't feel oily under my fingers, although I can see from the ingredients it does contain Avocado oil. So I'll need to see how my skin gets on with this. If you like their Facebook page, you can get a code for 15% off, and it works on sale items. Delivery to the UK is only £3.50. They do deliver worldwide but advise that it can take up to a month! It's worth the wait, I promise.<br />

Have you ever owned any Illamasqua products? Did I choose the best products or what would you have picked? Hope you are all well :)Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13894878557556412847noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7351684152302728009.post-61467502393867517192012-07-04T11:50:00.001+01:002012-07-04T11:50:49.827+01:00Golden OldiesHey guys, today I'm reviewing a product that I might be needing sometime soon, an anti-ageing BB cream. Unlike a lot of women, being on the wrong side of 25 doesn't really bother me, my gran is 76 and acts like a 21 year old so I know age is just a number! However I can totally understand being a little upset when your skin loses firmness and wrinkles appear, so I'm already having a little look about to see what wonder potions there are out there. This BB Cream is by L'Oreal and claims to fight 10 (yes 10!) signs of ageing. I didn't even know there WERE 10 signs but cool, whatever. I had three samples of these sent to me, in the medium shade, through their Facebook page I believe.<br />

These samples are all pretty generous, I didn't even need half of one for my whole face. This is on my hand when I have a bit of fake tan on (couple of shades darker than normal) so the shade is really far too dark for paler skins, but fine for me with a tan which is around NW20. I like that it tends to a neutral tone rather than orange, and I have to say even on the skin it didn't oxidise too much so stayed pretty much the same colour.<br />

After<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
As you can see, it has smoothed out my skin tone completely and evened out the coloration, but it is quite waxy until you set it with powder, highlighting any already shine-prone areas. It also does not cover blemishes, which I consider to be a main point of BLEMISH balm?? I had to go over problem areas with concealer, which is fine but something I wouldn't expect from a product like this. After setting and putting the rest of my makeup on this is the finished article:</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I did like the finished feel of the BB cream on my skin, but I noticed around my jaw it had gone a little patchy so tried to blend it lightly with my finger. Unfortunately, it rolled off in little rubbings leaving that part of my jaw bare!! So don't touch it when it's set is the moral of that story. As for the rest of my face, I have used Too Faced Brow-nies Eyebrow pencil, Avon Glazewear lipgloss in Iced Pink, Mac Mocha Blusher, Benefit They're Real mascara, Natural Collection eyeliner in brown and an ANCIENT neutal eyeshadow pallette from The Body Shop that doesn't even have the name on it any. Oh and Too Faced Candlelight Powder. Loads of makeup for a no-makeup look, that's quite scary!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyway, I would recommend this for older, dryer skins. Perhaps 35+ skins would benefit from this more than I have, it's a bit too thick and waxy when it goes on, and not flexible enough to be manipulated once set. I'll give the other two sachets to my mum and see how she gets on with them. The one major bonus is it did stay on for at least six hours and the colour was great, a couple of people at work thought I had caught the sun!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
6/10 for me but generally 8/10, I would not purchase this sadly</div>
